El Villarreal vuelve a jugar en el Estadio de la Cerámica y tendrá enfrente al Athletic de Bilbao, un rival cuya competición en LaLiga está siendo bastante irregular. Actualmente los vascos son el décimo equipo del torneo a 8 puntos del Villarreal, ambos equipos con 14 partidos disputados hasta le fecha. Un dato importante a tener en cuenta esta temporada, en la que los equipos compiten a diferentes velocidades, unos con más partidos en su haber y otros con menos.
Si es por juego y plantel el Submarino no debería de tener dificultades para llevarse los tres puntos en liza. Pero sobre el césped siempre ocurren cosas inesperadas, así que habrá que ver cómo transcurre el partido y cómo se desarrollan los acontecimientos. El resto de la jornada nos trae emparejamientos dispares pero sumamente interesantes. Empezando por el Valencia – Sevilla de este mismo martes o el Real Sociedad – Atlético de Madrid, que es posiblemente el duelo que más atención acaparará.
La jornada 14 también nos trae dos derbis regionales. Uno, el derbi andaluz entre el Betis y el Cádiz. El otro, el derbi vasco entre el Alavés y el Eibar. Un derbi siempre nos trae momentos intensos, más cuando el público está presente, pero aún así las contiendas a buen seguro que nos regalarán partidos de buen fútbol.
